November 29 2018 Coaches Wanted 2019-2020

The Long Island Royals Youth Hockey Club is seeking experienced Head and Assistant Coaches for the 2019-2020 season. The Royals have youth teams for players 5-18 years old. Our clubs strive to foster an environment that promotes personal growth, character and athletic development. Royals Head and Primary Assistant Coaches for Squirt-Midget receive a coaching stipend.&

October 23 2018 10U A Champions

Congratulations to the LI Royals Squirt A team,& winning the Haunted Shootout Squirt A Division Championship with a 3-2 OT Finals Win vs the Ramapo Saints. They scored 23GF and only allowed 10GA, going 5-0 beating The NS Shamrocks ‘08, Jersey Colts, NJ Colonials , Rye Rangers and Ramapo.

October 10 2018 14U A Champions

The 14U A Team won the Columbus Day Tournament in Hershey, PA. They defeated the Dix Hills Hawks in the final game 7-3.

September 27 2018 The Mense Family

Kristina Mense is a wife and mother of four children, one with special needs.& Her son, Joe plays on the LI Royals 12U AAA Major team. She is battling her second bout of Breast Cancer and recently received some poor test results.& She is currently Stage 4 and the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes, liver and bones.& All the medical bills are leaving a strain on the family. They are in desperate need to do whatever it takes to help her beat this, and some options are not covered under their insurance.& & Any donation would be greatly appreciated by Kristina and her family....Donate here

September 07 2018 Kick-off weekend

Many Royals teams are hitting the road this weekend as they begin their 2018-2019 hockey journey.

10U, 12U and 14U "A" teams played in the EJEPL August Showcase.

16U and 15U played in the ECC Labor Day Cup.

08, 07, and 04 head to Boston to attend the Super Series Boston Breakout.

The McGuigan family has owned and operated Superior Ice Rink since 1972. During this time, we have proudly provided the local community, with their recreational ice skating and ice hockey activities in a true family atmosphere. We would like to thank all of our past, present and future customers for their ongoing support and patronage, as well as for helping us realize our goal of supplying a safe, fun and enjoyable experience for their families. Superior Ice Rink is operated all-year round for public ice skating, figure skating, learn to skate programs, youth ice hockey and adult ice hockey. During the summertime we also offer summer hockey camps for all levels of youth hockey players. All of our programs are staffed by professionals with many years of experience in their field. The greatest enjoyment of the ice rink business is seeing the smiling faces of the family members of all ages. Our most rewarding compliment has come from people who have come through our programs as youngsters and young adults, only to return years later with the feeling of being "back home."
