Congratulations to former LONG ISLAND ROYAL goaltender Derek Mullahy on his commitment to Harvard University of the ECAC Division 1 Hockey League. Derek played for our 2000 Bantam Major team. & Derek is our 5th Division 1 commitment from the 2000 Royals team. & Derek has been playing for Shattuck Saint Mary's for the past two years.&

November 27 2016 SQ A and PW A are Thanksgiving Champions

Congratulations to our SQ A and PW A teams for both winning their respective tournaments this weekend.

&

& Squirt A went through the preliminary round going 3-0 obtaining 14.5 out of 15 possible points with the toughest game against the Maine Moose where they had a very tight back and forth game winning 7-5 with a late open net goal and were the #2 seed in the semi-finals were in our first game we defeated the Haverhill Thunder 7-2 who had previously been unbeaten.& In the finals they again met the Maine Moose were they took an early 1-0 lead but fell behind 2-1 late in the third and then scored 3 unanswered goals for the 4-2 victory in the finals. Our goalie Matt Hughes was our MVP for the tournament.

The McGuigan family has owned and operated Superior Ice Rink since 1972. During this time, we have proudly provided the local community, with their recreational ice skating and ice hockey activities in a true family atmosphere. We would like to thank all of our past, present and future customers for their ongoing support and patronage, as well as for helping us realize our goal of supplying a safe, fun and enjoyable experience for their families. Superior Ice Rink is operated all-year round for public ice skating, figure skating, learn to skate programs, youth ice hockey and adult ice hockey. During the summertime we also offer summer hockey camps for all levels of youth hockey players. All of our programs are staffed by professionals with many years of experience in their field. The greatest enjoyment of the ice rink business is seeing the smiling faces of the family members of all ages. Our most rewarding compliment has come from people who have come through our programs as youngsters and young adults, only to return years later with the feeling of being "back home."
